You let us know what dates your holiday home will be vacant, and our rental partners will manage the bookings. The only thing you need to do is ensure your holiday home is equipped with the normal items that you’d use yourselves anyway. We’ve compiled a list of everyday items that you would need to have in your holiday home, such as crockery, cutlery, kitchen items, household items, and electrical items. But there’s no need to go overboard with luxury items – just the basics will do.
Another common question is whether holidaymakers can bring pets to your holiday home if you sublet through The Stewart’s Resort Group. The answer is, it’s up to you. If you bring your pet along with you to the park, your unit will be considered pet-friendly. If not, then there’s no obligation to allow pets. It’s entirely your decision, and if you feel comfortable allowing pets, it can be a great option to attract more bookings.
Our advice would be yes, take out separate insurance if you plan on letting your holiday home. Taking out hire and contents cover can provide protection for you and your guests. It’s always best to be prepared and ensure that everyone is covered during their stay.
The amount you earn depends on the facilities in your holiday home, how many weeks you let out your holiday home, and which dates you choose to sublet your holiday lodge. You’ll be earning an income from rentals but you’ll still be responsible for all running costs. Your chosen rental partner will be able to share the income statement from your rentals, which will detail the booking dates for your holiday home, the total value of each booking, and the amount you’ve earned to date.
